Dynamic QR codes
Trackable QR Codes You Can Edit After Printing
See when and where your QR code gets scanned, and change where it leads without reprinting. Create a free account to get started, no credit card required.
How a trackable QR code works
A trackable QR code points to a short link instead of directly to your final page. When someone scans it, the short link records the scan and sends them on to your destination.
Since the printed code only contains the short link, you can change the destination at any time from your dashboard. The printed code stays the same.
What you can measure
Scan statistics show activity over time, along with visitor country, device platform, browser and language. Use them to compare a poster with a flyer, or to see which location gets scanned most.
Scan counts are a guide rather than an exact headcount, because one person can scan twice and automated visits can occur. They are most useful for comparing campaigns.
Static vs dynamic QR codes
Static: the content sits inside the code. It is free, needs no account and does not depend on a service to work, but it cannot be edited or tracked. Good for Wi-Fi details or a vCard. Create a static code here.
Dynamic: the code points to a short link. You can edit the destination and see scan statistics, but the link must stay active in your account to keep working. Good for print campaigns, packaging and restaurant menus.

Plans
The free plan lets you try this with up to 5 QR codes and counts up to 50 scans a month. After that limit the code keeps working, but further scans are not counted until the next month. Paid plans add more codes and features. Compare plans for current limits.
Frequently asked questions
Can you track a QR code for free?
Yes. A free account lets you create up to 5 QR codes and counts up to 50 scans a month. After that, the code keeps working but further scans are not counted until the next month.
Do dynamic QR codes expire?
A dynamic code keeps working while its short link stays active in your account. If the link is deleted or disabled, the printed code stops working.
Can I change a QR code after it is printed?
Yes, if it is a dynamic code. Change the destination in your dashboard and the printed code will send people to the new page.
Can I see who scanned my QR code?
You can see totals and general details such as country, device and browser. It does not tell you the name or identity of the person who scanned.
What is the difference between a QR code and a short link?
A short link is a web address people click, and a QR code is an image people scan. A trackable QR code combines both: the image opens a short link that records the visit.
